Pros

  • Hydrating
  • Low sugar, only 10 calories
  • Contains 360mg of sodium
  • No artificial colors or flavors

Cons

  • Can be confused with similar products which contain caffeine and less electrolytes

To use Nuun tablets, you simply drop one tablet into a glass or bottle of water. The tablet fizzes slowly, so I like to actually stick a straw in my glass and drink the “Nuunified” water over the sink as it fills with more water from the faucet. But you can also wait for the entire tablet to dissolve before drinking. I’ve found the flavor to be too strong and sweet when using one tablet to flavor less than 20 oz of water. It’s also possible to break the tablets in half.

Each tablet contains a significant amount of electrolytes – 360 mg Sodium / 100 mg Potassium / 25 mg Magnesium / 13 mg Calcium. They are also very low in sugar, by using stevia and monk fruit extract to help sweeten the tablets. Each tablet is only 10 calories, and they contain no artificial colors or flavors (very beneficial for those potsies who also suffer from MCAS).

My personal favorite flavor is strawberry lemonade, however I haven’t tried all the different flavors. Nuun also sells similar tablets which contain vitamins or caffeine. When purchasing these, make sure to note which product it is.
